How a restoration works with us

No surprises and no big bill up front. Every restoration follows the same four steps, and you stay in control of the budget the whole way.

  1. Step 1: Tell us about the car

Call the workshop or book online with the make, model and year, plus anything you already know: how long it's been sitting, what works and what doesn't. Photos help.

  2. Step 2: Inspection and an honest list

We go over the engine, cooling, fuel system, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrics, then talk you through what we found. You get a written list of what it needs, sorted by priority: safety first, then reliability, then the nice-to-haves.

  3. Step 3: A plan in stages you agree to

We break the work into stages so you can spread the cost and decide what gets done and when. Nothing goes ahead without your OK.

  4. Step 4: The work, with updates as we go

We work through each stage and talk to you before anything changes. At the end we can get the car ready for its pink slip and registration.

Questions people ask

What classic cars do you work on?

All sorts: Japanese, Australian and European classics. Call the workshop with the make, model and year and we'll talk you through it.

How long does a classic car restoration take?

It depends on the car's condition and how easy parts are to find. After the inspection we give you a plan in stages, so you know what comes first and roughly how long each stage takes.

Can you get an old car that's been sitting for years running again?

Often, yes. We start with an inspection to see what's seized, perished or leaking, then tell you what it takes to get it running and safe before you spend more.

Do I have to do the whole restoration at once?

No. You can do it in stages to spread the cost. We'll recommend what's needed for safety first and what can wait.
